Description
This visual dharma inspiration shows the 'Form Is Emptiness' verse from the Heart Sutra with a Zen painting of a circle, square, triangle and rectangle brushed after a Zen painting of Sengai.
The Japanese text, brushed in sosho or cursive script, says:
色 不 異 空 - shiki fu i kū
空 不 異 色 - kū fu i shiki
色 即 是 空 - shiki soku ze kū
空 即 是 色 - kū soku ze shiki
English translation :
form is not different from emptiness
emptiness is not different from form;
form is emptiness,
emptiness is form.
