Description
Once someone asked me to brush a Japanese phrase that expresses friendship and I choose to brush Itai Dōshin which literally means, 'Different bodies, One mind'.
To me, Itai Dōshin expresses unity of mind, oneness, whether on the mundane or the spiritual level.
Itai Dōshin is often translated as 'Many in body, one in mind' and is a fundamental concept in Nichiren Buddhism, expressing harmony and unity among its followers, respecting each other's diversity.
The four kanji for this calligraphy are:
異 I - different , other
体 TAI - body, form
同 DŌ - same
心 SHIN - mind
