Our Buddha Nature Is Forever Pure - Hui-neng Gatha Brushed In Sosho Style

This calligraphy shows a gatha composed by the sixth Zen Patriarch Hui-neng. I have rendered it in a cursive calligraphic style. On top of the gatha calligraphy appears a bright enso, evoking 'the mirror without stand'.

菩提本無樹
明鏡亦無台
佛性常清浄
何處有塵埃

My gallery presents calligraphies and paintings that breathe the spirit of contemporary Chinese and Japanese brush art. The main feature of my art work is to grab the moment of inspiration and express in its fullness with the brush. My medium is ink and natural pigments on rice paper.
