Description
Dynamic calligraphy of the kanji 智 (Japanese, chi /Chinese, chih, zhi) brushed in the kaisho style of Japanese calligraphy.
The kanji for wisdom has a fascinating origin.
The upper part of the kanji 知, means knowledge, with the symbol for arrow 矢 at the left and the character for mouth 口 at the right, symbolizing : If you have knowledge you can give an 口 opinion upon the subject as fast and precise as an arrow 矢 that hits its mark.
The lower ideogram is 日, sun, which stands for to illuminate.
So one could say that knowledge must be illuminated in order to become wisdom.
