Description
Bodhidharma spent nine years ‘facing the wall’ in a mountain cave near Shaolin Temple at Mount Song. Thus he was called the 'Wall-gazing Brahmin'. Facing the wall, Chinese pi-kuan, means literally wall-gazing.
