Description
This calligraphy shows the 佛 Buddha kanji, Japanese ''butsu', Chinese 'fo', in a straightforward Zen-like style. The Compassionate One is one of my favorite Buddha calligraphies. It was the last calligraphy I brushed after a long period of dedicating myself only the Buddha kanji. The brushstrokes show a beautiful play of full and empty. I like especially the composition. With the left element (radical for human) embracing the right one, this calligraphy generates a caring and compassionate energy.
